Spring is the perfect time to get little hands in the dirt. 🌱
Grab an empty egg carton, fill each cup with a little soil, and let your child drop in a seed. That's it. No special tools, no big garden needed — just a windowsill and a little patience.
When the seedlings sprout, you can plant the whole carton right into the ground. Cardboard and all.
There's something really sweet about watching a child check on something they planted. Every. Single. Morning.
Happy planting, Northstar families. 🌿

🔬Science Says:

Connection comes BEFORE correction.

Before children can learn from a moment, they need to feel supported in it.

So what does that look like? In real life this may be:

✨Getting down on a child's level
✨Listening before correcting
✨Working through feelings rather than brushing past them

Strong relationships create the foundation for guidance, growth, and learning.

Just in case there was any confusion… 😜

April Fools!

We’re still in charge (for now), but we have to admit… some of those ideas were pretty tempting.

There’s been an exciting change in management. It’s us.

We have made some important updates:

✅Snack time is longer
✅Shoes are optional
✅Recess is forever
✅Naptime has been abolished
✅We now live in a glitter paradise

Your patience as we continue to improve the program is appreciated.

Thank you for your cooperation.

The questions we ask shape how children think about their day.

Focusing on effort and experience helps build confidence, reflection, and a love of learning.

It also softly encourages a thoughtful answer instead of the classics: 'I don't know' and 'Nothing' 😜

Outdoor play is such an important part of early childhood education!

Time outside helps children build strong bodies, develop coordination, and practice important social skills like cooperation and communication.

It also sparks creativity, reduces stress, and gives little minds a chance to explore and discover the world around them.

Fresh air + active play = happy, healthy learners! 💛🌱

Yesterday you learned WHY outdoor play is so important.

This is what learning looks like outside.

Exploring, creating, getting messy, and making sense of the world through play.

These are the moments where curiosity grows.
