Day after surgery:
Cindy Kline had her follow up with the surgeon. She got the catheter removed.
Cindy is able to get up and walk with a walker. Her bladder is still waking up from the surgery and catheter.
Cindy's voice is almost back to normal. Intubation commonly leaves a person with a sore throat. The hyper-extension of the neck to intubate someone can lead to neck pain and headaches. Cindy had some neck pain the first night which I treated with Reiki and with a supplement called plus relief that I applied topically.
Cindy's surgical sites are starting to be sore and painful as the anesthesia continues to wear off. She still has drains which the sites are painful. She is still draining bloody fluid from the surgical sites.
For the pain, Cindy gets severely nauseous and vomits with the opioid pain pills. So, we started and oral plus relief spray to start calming her nerves. Cindy has only used Tylenol and plus relief for her pain. The pain has gotten to a true 10/10 for Cindy because she will pass out in the chair for a couple hours at a time because of the pain. I've got to say Cindy is one tough person!
