"We suffer from two causes- want of supply and burden of dead deposits. "
- A.T. Still
What is considered health?
Most people would consider health as absence of disease. Many people think that if they aren't sick or in pain then they are healthy.
How many of y'all have gone to the doctor with symptoms (cough, sinus, rash, pain, etc) and were told "there is nothing wrong"?
You even get labs and imaging and there is still "nothing wrong."
So, you should be healthy if "there is nothing wrong," but you still have symptoms.
I am excited to be an osteopathic physician and find what is healthy in your body and begin to generate health in your body.
How do I generate health? To me, health is flow.
Flow of what? Follow of everything, which is a vague answer. But more specifically flow of blood, flow of cerbrospinal fluid, flow of joints, flow of tissues, flow of emotions, flow of spirit, flow of universal light.
Some of the parts I am getting to flow through you makes sense. That is the "want of supply" that I interpret the quote to mean. The American food supply does not have the same nutrition as it did in the past. My generic nutritional advice is to eat more vegetables and eat less processed foods and stay hydrated.
The "burden of dead deposits" from the quote is more abstract. Many of the physical symptoms you are experiencing is the burden of dead deposits causing the blocking of flow of emotions, blocking of flow of spirit, and blocking of the flow of the universal light.
How do you block the flow of emotions, spirit and light? Trauma! We have all experienced the ups and downs of life. If I were to ask each of you about your life, most will have experienced bullying, yelled at by others, physical abuse, sexual abuse, mental abuse and so many more.
I like the team approach to addressing the traumas that burden us with "dead deposits." You have many avenues to address trauma and get through them.
I look forward to being part of your team to get you through the traumatic experiences and bring you to feel the full connection and flow of life.
