💘 Valentine’s Day should be fun—not stressful! But for parents of kids with food allergies, classroom celebrations can be nerve-wracking. Here are three ways to help keep your child safe while still feeling included:

🍬 Double-Check Treats – Ingredients can change, and cross-contact is always a risk. When in doubt, bring your own safe treats!

🎨 Think Beyond Food – Stickers, small toys, or crafts make great allergy-friendly alternatives that everyone can enjoy.

📝 Communicate Early – Talk to teachers and other parents ahead of time to make sure your child has safe options.

We know how scary it can be, but you're not alone! 💕 For more tips on navigating food allergies this Valentine’s Day, check out our latest blog!

February may be the month of love, but for allergy sufferers, it’s also peak season for sneezing! Across the country, these allergens are causing the most trouble right now:

🌲 Mountain Cedar – A major culprit in Texas and the South, bringing intense “cedar fever” symptoms.
🌿 Elm & Maple Trees – Kicking off early tree pollen season in parts of the Midwest and Northeast.
🌾 Mold Spores – Lingering from winter moisture, especially in humid regions.

If your allergies are acting up, you're not imagining it! Learn more about what's in the air near you and how to find relief in our latest blog.

🤧 Stuffy nose? A sinus rinse can help clear out mucus, allergens, and irritants for easier breathing! Here’s how to do it:

1️⃣ Mix a saline packet with distilled or sterile water.
2️⃣ Lean over a sink and tilt your head to one side.
3️⃣ Gently squeeze the rinse bottle into one nostril—let it drain out the other.
4️⃣ Repeat on the other side, then blow your nose gently.

Nausea isn't typically considered a primary symptom of allergies, but it can happen, especially if postnasal drip is severe. Postnasal drip occurs when excess mucus drains down the back of your throat, which can irritate your stomach and trigger nausea for some people. 😷

If you're waking up with severe postnasal drip and feeling nauseous, it's worth exploring the root cause—whether it's allergies, sinus issues, or another underlying condition. An allergist can help identify your triggers and recommend effective treatment options, such as medications, allergy testing, or immunotherapy.

We hear this question a lot, and if this happens to you, you’re not alone! When you blow your nose, the pressure or irritation can stimulate the sensitive nerves in your nasal passages, triggering the sneeze reflex. This is super common for people with allergies or sinus issues since your nose is already on high alert from the inflammation or irritation. 🌸🤧

If sneezing after blowing your nose is happening a lot—or you’re dealing with other symptoms like congestion, runny nose, or itchy eyes—it might be time to explore what’s going on. An allergy test is a great first step toward finding relief and understanding the triggers behind your symptoms.
