Chronic Health Issues of the Elderly
It is estimated that around 80 percent of older adults have at least one chronic condition. That means most people experience diseases as they reach old age. Many factors come into play regarding chronic medical conditions, including age, gender, genetics, and lifestyle.
The most common chronic conditions are hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, high cholesterol, heart failure, and chronic kidney disease. These diseases affect most seniors worldwide and often have no cure. If you have a loved one with a chronic illness, make sure to always be there for them.
