Ascension St. Vincent Evansville has completed the area's first FDA-approved Thoracoabdominal Branch Endoprosthesis (TAMBE) procedure, advancing care for complex aortic aneurysms.

TAMBE places a stent graft in the visceral aorta to maintain blood flow to vital organs, offering a less invasive alternative to open surgery. Until now, patients had to travel to larger cities for this life-saving procedure. This milestone allows them to stay closer to home, recover faster, and receive the highest level of care right here in Evansville, showcasing Ascension St. Vincent’s dedication to the highest level of care as it becomes available.

Take a look inside the Thoracic Oncology Mobile Experience (TOME) and explore the new technology used at Ascension St. Vincent Evansville to direct and treat lung cancer. With this new system, the surgeon is 100% in control of the robotic-assisted system, which translates their hand movements into smaller, more precise movements of tiny instruments inside the patient’s body. New advancements allow for reduced force on tissue, higher image resolution during surgeries and quicker recovery times for patients.

This 80,000-pound mobile lab showcased how robotic surgical systems are transforming lung cancer care through minimally invasive technology.

The Lung Nodule Clinic at St. Vincent Evansville offers access to a multidisciplinary team of pulmonologists, oncologists, and surgical specialists.

This life-changing device helps reduce stroke risk in patients with atrial fibrillation who need an alternative to blood thinners. Every implant represents a patient empowered to live with more confidence and less worry.

Heads Up, Athletes & Parents!

🧠 FREE Concussion Testing on July 22 & 29

Ascension St. Vincent is offering free ImPACT concussion baseline testing for local athletes aged 10 and above. Establishing a cognitive baseline now helps protect your athlete if they ever suffer a head injury in the future. Tests remain valid for two years. The test measures memory, reaction time, and processing speed, helping trainers and doctors make informed decisions in the event of a concussion.

Ascension St. Vincent Evansville is a comprehensive network of healthcare services for more than 900,000 residents in the tri-state area (IN, IL and KY).
