During a historic ceremony Monday at Hangar 3, the 531st Hospital Center was activated as part of Army Medicine’s modernized, modular update to combat support hospitals.

COL Bruce Syvinski and MSG Ruben Vela presented CSM Kristopher Rick, outgoing 44th MED BDE CSM a wrench on behalf of the Soldiers of the 86th CSH. The wrench was engraved with a message that says “If you need it fixed, call the 86th!” Best wishes to CSM Rick on his next assignment. Eagle Medics!

86th CSH Officers completed a physically and mentally challenging PT session last week. They practiced day and night land navigation, troop leading procedures, assembling radios and loading frequencies, calling in a 9-line MEDEVAC, and evacuating casualties. Many thanks to the NCOs who helped make this training a great success!!!

The Eagle Medics donned their best attire on March 15th for the annual 86th CSH Military Ball! The theme was "Stars and Stripes." We were honored to be joined by distinguished guest COL (Ret.) Dr. Harry L. Warren who proudly recounted memories of his time as 86th CSH Commander. Everyone dressed to impress in ASU's, ball gowns, and tuxedos. The ball festivities were complemented by the 101st Airborne Division (AASLT) Band and 86th CSH Color Guard. The 86th CSH's own SPC Thomas Osoro served as DJ for the evening.

Trauma Nursing Core Course at BACH.

Thirteen medical providers from Fort Campbell, Kentucky, completed the Trauma Nursing Core Course March 8, enhancing their ability to quickly assess and treat patients with traumatic life-threatening injuries received at war or at home.

Options for making appointments.

Have you called our Appointment Line only to hear the automated voice say you are caller number 50 and give up? There are options available for you if you do not have time to wait. In reality, the wait times are very reasonable and multiple call center personnel are handling the calls both effectively and efficiently. In addition, the appointment line offers a call back feature. Appointment line personnel will call you back if you do not want to wait on the phone, and you will not lose your place in line.
