Today is pregnancy and infant loss Remembrance Day.
1 in 4 pregnancies ends in loss.
And yet, so many people grieve in silence—feeling alone, unseen, or unsure if their grief “counts.”
As a perinatal mental health therapist, and as someone who has personally experienced loss, I want to say: your grief matters. Whether your loss was early in pregnancy, later, or after birth—your bond was real, your love was real, and so is your grief.
💜 You are not alone.
💜 Your experience deserves to be honored.
💜 There is no “right” way to grieve.
Today is about breaking the silence and holding space for the parents who carry love and loss together.
If you’ve experienced pregnancy or infant loss:
• You are allowed to talk about your baby.
• You are allowed to feel joy, anger, sadness, relief, or all of it at once.
• You are allowed to seek support—professional, peer, or spiritual.
I hope you feel less alone in your journey. And if you know someone who has experienced a loss, remember that a simple “I’m thinking of you” can mean the world.
