Skin in a Minute: Dry skin is aging skin, and if your hands are dryā€¦they will make you look older. If your hands are dry no matter how much lotion you useā€¦ you might be sabotaging them every time you wash them.

Most hand soaps are designed to cut grease.
Thatā€™s great for dishes.
Not great for your skin barrier.

Secret tip: If your hands are constantly dry, try washing them with a gentle facial cleanser instead of regular hand soap (when appropriate at home). Facial cleansers are formulated to cleanse without aggressively stripping natural oils.

Less stripping = less cracking = less irritation.

Their first follow-up appointment was in March 2025, where the patient was healing well.
