🕊️ Juneteenth is a call to remember, reflect, and rise.

On June 19th, 1865, the final enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas were told they were free, over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

At The Alchemy Yoga, we honor Juneteenth as a sacred moment of liberation, and a reminder that healing is both personal and collective.

Vipassana Meditation is a powerful practice that allows us to see things as they truly are, free from distractions like music or external guidance. By observing our inner world objectively—without clinging to or resisting thoughts and emotions—we can break free from the three root causes of unhappiness: craving, aversion, and ignorance. This ancient meditation technique, established 25 centuries ago by Gautama Buddha, is designed to lead practitioners toward liberation and enlightenment. With consistent practice, Vipassana Meditation helps release daily stress and dissolves deeply ingrained patterns of emotional reactivity, fostering a state of balance and inner peace.

During this event, we will practice Noble Silence. Noble Silence means no gestures, talking or the use of communication tools such as mobile phones, computer, and the Internet at The Alchemy Yoga and in ETHER room. Practitioners are encouraged to continue Noble Silence during lunch break.

At The Alchemy Yoga, we believe that love is divine, identity is sacred, and every body deserves to take up space...fully, freely, and fearlessly.

This Pride Month, we honor the LGBTQIA+ community , not just in celebration, but in solidarity. Yoga teaches us to return to truth (satya), and the truth is this: you are whole, you are worthy, and your presence is a gift to this world.
