Red Raspberry Leaf Pregnancy Tea ☕️

We love it iced with:
🥥 Coconut water
🍍 Pineapple juice
🍒 Cranberry juice

Hydrating. Refreshing. Intentional birth prep.
Red raspberry leaf is often introduced in the 2nd or 3rd trimester and is considered a gentle uterine tonic - meaning it supports muscle tone rather than stimulating labor.

Have you tried red raspberry leaf tea in pregnancy?

If so, how did you like to drink it - hot, iced, blended, simple? Tell us below!

Milk meets the moment.

Even in whales, milk adapts to meet a baby’s needs. Human breastmilk works the same way - changing over time to provide exactly what a baby needs for growth, immunity, and comfort.

A mother’s body is responsive, moment by moment.

Screens are everywhere - but little brains are still under construction. 🧠🤍

Early childhood is a sacred season of growth.
Brains are built through presence, movement, touch, and connection - not constant stimulation.

Research is beginning to show that heavy screen use in the early years can impact how young brains wire and communicate. This is an invitation to slow down, protect these tender years, and prioritize real-life connection whenever we can.

Care doesn’t have to feel rushed or clinical.

In the comfort of your own home, midwifery care is guided by presence, experience, and skilled hands - not just technology. Through gentle palpation, we can feel baby’s position and orientation, often locating the head without the need for ultrasound.

This is care that listens.
Care that adapts as your baby grows.
Care rooted in trust between mother and midwife.

Midwifery care is built on the understanding that birth is a natural, physiological process.

Our role is not to rush or control - but to protect, support, and walk alongside families as birth unfolds.

Trust changes everything.

The toilet is an incredibly effective tool during labor 🤍

Sitting on the toilet naturally relaxes the pelvic floor, encourages optimal positioning, and helps the body soften instead of brace during contractions. Gravity works with you here, which can support progress while also offering a chance to rest.

This position also gives partners a great way to help. Hip squeezes, counterpressure on the lower back, grounding touch, and calm verbal support can make a big difference while laboring through contractions.

Learn more about this and similar topics at our Labor Coping Skills class hosted every month at the Birth Center on the First Saturday!

Hydration matters even more in pregnancy 🤍

If you’re pregnant and dealing with headaches, constipation, or feeling dizzy during the day, your body may be asking for more water. Pregnancy increases blood volume by about 50 percent, creates amniotic fluid, and slows digestion.

Add heat or sweating, and your water needs go up even more.

A simple guideline is to aim for about half your body weight in ounces of water each day. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just consistent. Your body is doing a lot of work, and hydration helps support all of it.

What’s your favorite water bottle to help you stay hydrated?
