We had fun at the Autism Acceptance day today at Mckinney organized by City of Mckinney Parks and Recreation depatment with Svetlana Kutikova!

Whoever you are is ok! Autism ia not only weaknesses and these individuals have so many strengths!

I loved connecting with so many other providers helping the individuals in our community ❤️

Now enrolling families to PEERS® Social Skills Group!

PEERS® is an evidence-based social skills programming for youth and adults who are struggling socially.

PEERS® for Adolescents is for middle and high school age teens, 12 to 17, who are struggling making and keeping friends, being bullied, and/or handling conflict and rejection. This group is also perfect with anyone with diagnosis of Autism, ADHD, Social Anxiety, etc.

📌 16 week program

📌 weekly group for adolescents and parents separately for 90 minutes

📌 Skill building via direct teaching, role plays, group discussions, hands on practice in pairs

📌 focus on appropriate use of social media, communication skills, conflict resolution, handling bullying, etc.

📌 ages 12 to 17

📌 Parents learn skills to use at home (parent participation is required).

📌 Group fee $75 per group ($1,200 due upon registration and $1,200 on week 8)

📌 HSA and FSA and all major credit cards accepted

We are launching a much needed social skills group!

ntroducing PEERS® for Adolescents
PEERS is a evidence-based social skills programming for youth and adults who are struggling socially. The program has been through extensively researched and disseminated worldwide through translation, cross-cultural validation studies, and certified provider trainings. It was developed at UCLA by Dr. Elizabeth Laugeson, Director of the UCLA PEERS® Clinic.

PEERS® for Adolescents is for adolescents in middle and high school, ages 12 to 17, who are interested in making and keeping friends and/or handling conflict and rejection.

Adolescents and parents attend 16 weekly group sessions for 90 minutes per week, and are taught social skills through didactic lessons and role-play demonstrations, and practice these skills during group socialization activities.

Parents attend separate sessions simultaneously and are taught how to assist adolescents in making and keeping friends (parent participation is required).
