During her graduate program at The University of Houston, Jamie received practicum experience at the University's Counseling Center. After graduate school, Jamie continued her training in domestic violence and sexual assault at Houston Area Women's Center where she gained invaluable experience working with survivors in individual and group therapy. She continued counseling work with adolescents an

d families in a positive peer group recovery program providing individual therapy for dual diagnosis clients and counseling parents. During her initial years as a licensed professional counselor, it became apparent that she cherished working with women and had a heart for the specific challenges of being a teenage girl. While working as an Adjunct Professor at the University of St. Thomas, she enjoyed the enthusiasm and energy of college students and desired to inspire students to actively participate in learning. Jamie wants to create lasting positive changes in lives through the integration of Biblical principles and sound therapeutic practices. She is a top Christian counselor in the Houston area. Jamie has traveled extensively throughout Europe, as well as Africa, the Middle East and Asia. She is married and her husband is a petroleum engineer. Their son Austin (UTD graduate) is married and has two daughters.
