Our Story
Shondra Mattos, founder of Mattos Lactation, is a location-independent Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) who serves breastfeeding families all across the country. As of current, she resides in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She is passionate about infant feeding, infant & maternal health, and elevating the quality of care of the Lactation Industry.
While Shondra does see families local to her in Fayetteville, Ft Bragg, and surrounding areas, she runs her entire practice with an innovative approach to breastfeeding support; from the internet-based business model that allows her clients to see her wherever they are in the world to her revolutionary perspective on breastfeeding classes, nothing about the way she practices is ‘typical’.
(Thanks to COVID, online visits are no longer innovated, however, when she launched Mattos lactation in 2018, a telehealth based lactation practice was very rare.)
Shondra combines her years of experience serving breastfeeding families, hundreds of hours of lactation training, and the things she’s learned through her own breastfeeding experiences into a unique, high-quality support method that you will not get anywhere else.
