Ritu Bhalla is an Ayurvedic Practitioner, Educator and Speaker who has over 25 years of experience in Ayurveda. She addresses the root cause of an individual’s imbalance using evidence-based treatments along with diet and lifestyle changes to help regain and maintain optimal health. Each person’s unique life circumstances and priorities are always taken into consideration. She guides clients to remove barriers, creating new healthy practices one step at a time. With the knowledge that we aren’t “perfect” all the time, she reminds clients to enjoy life and food, while finding balance and getting back on track. Ritu completed her Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery degree from Maharishi Dayanand University in Rohtak, India. Ritu worked as a lecturer at Dhanvantri Ayurvedic Medical College where she taught Physiology & Pathology. She worked as a Medical Officer in a clinic specializing in the treatment of arthritis besides having her own practice for 4 years. She teaches Ayurveda at Collin County College as a part of the Counselor Education Program. She has repeatedly been invited by the University of North Texas at Denton as a guest speaker, introducing Ayurveda to students as part of the Stress Reduction through Movement Program. She has been a speaker at the Texas Medical Association Convention for CME (Continuing Medical Education) on Holistic Medicine (2014 & 2015). She is an active board member of AAPNA (Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America), Vaidya (a subcommittee for NAMA {National Ayurvedic Medical Association}), and is an associate member for TIPS (Texas Indian Physician Society). She recently earned the title as Dean of Ayurveda at the American Alternative Medicine School-Dallas. She resides in the Dallas Metroplex with her husband and her two lovely daughters.
