Life gets busy… but sometimes the most important thing you can do is slow down 🤍

I will never regret stepping back from my career to be more present with Alivia. Time is something you can never get back—and I refuse to miss these years.

Someone once said that once kids start school, you may only get 2–4 hours a day with them. The rest of their time is shaped by teachers, peers, and the world around them. That really stuck with me.

I wanted to be the one pouring into her… guiding her, teaching her, and keeping her grounded in what truly matters.

For our family, that meant choosing homeschool—keeping Christ at the center and being intentional with every moment we’ve been given.

Because these days are fleeting… and they are everything. ✨

We kicked off the season at The Star in Frisco, where we got to see the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders in their Christmas extravaganza, the lighting of an amazing 67-ft LED Christmas tree, and even a surprise visit from Santa himself! 🎅🏽💙

On the way home, we noticed a local church having a tree lighting + drone show, so of course we stopped — and WOW! The drones told the beautiful story of the birth of Jesus across the sky. Truly breathtaking. ✨🙏

We decided as a family that we won’t be trick-or-treating anymore — it’s just not something we feel called to celebrate. No judgment toward anyone who does — we all have our own convictions and ways of spending the day. 💛

So instead, we went to the movies and saw Back to the Future for its 40th anniversary! It was such a fun night, and Liv absolutely loved it! 🎬

This time of year is just magical. 🍂 The air feels crisp and calm, and you can almost smell autumn arriving. The monarchs are beginning their migration to Mexico, and Alivia and I were blessed to see dozens of them dancing around a gorgeous purple butterfly bush today. 🦋

I hope they all found enough nectar to fuel them for their long journey south. What a reminder of the beauty and resilience in God’s creation.

💧 Why I Won’t Travel Without My Kangen Again! 💧

As someone who’s battled autoimmune issues for years, staying hydrated really matters. I drink 9.5 pH water daily from my Enagic K8 machine—not just because it’s alkaline, but because it’s also rich in molecular hydrogen. And I can feel the difference.

Last week, I traveled without my machine and tried to stay hydrated with bottled water labeled “alkaline.” By the end of the week, I felt run down, my voice was fading, and even though I was drinking plenty, I still felt completely dehydrated.

Another win for time freedom + homeschooling!

Alivia set a personal goal to finish her entire 3rd grade Language Arts before her old classmates wrapped up 2nd grade… and she crushed it!

At just 7 years old, she’s officially diving into 4th grade Language Arts — and we’re celebrating not just her determination, but the freedom to learn at her own pace, pursue goals, and enjoy a life not limited by bells and school calendars.

This is exactly why we chose this path — to live more intentionally, grow together, and empower our kids with confidence and purpose.
