Benji was very concerned about me doing this.(sound on) It’s only Wednesday and Monday was a holiday but it has just been one of those weeks. When I am feeling stressed and overwhelmed in my surroundings, it’s good for me to go outside and get upside down. You’d be surprised what a new perspective can do for you. 👍 Also, add the ninja toddler with a sword and you have yourself a pretty challenging balance pose 😂

Postpartum: a season of pain, chaos, exhaustion, and pure bliss. My recovery was different and longer than I expected. Going through this postpartum journey again during the winter time is challenging for me. I crave the outdoors, sunshine, fresh air, and movement. I have found that being outdoors, albeit for only ten minutes at a time on a day like today, energizes me and drastically improves my mood. Being able to move my body again is exciting and refreshing. Our bodies are pretty amazing. “Exercise because you love your body, not because you hate it.”

This is how you enter into The Bird of Paradise pose. My center of gravity is not quite what it usually is being but I love how this pose helps improve my stability and core strength. This is one of my favorite poses and there are modifications and variations I would love to show you as well!

Extended leg pulses 5 x each side
Warrior III
Warrior I with heel raises 5 x
Warrior II with heel raises 5 x
Goddess pose with heel raises 10x then 5x alternating right and left foot
