We are incredibly grateful to The Bargain Box for their generous $30,000 grant in support of Volunteers in Medicine Hilton Head Island 💙

This meaningful gift directly strengthens our Disease Management Services, with a special focus on funding critical disease screening labs. These labs allow us to detect health issues earlier, guide treatment plans, and ultimately improve outcomes for our patients who rely on us for compassionate, high-quality care. It's a big part of our efforts to provide ongoing support for patients living with chronic conditions.

Thank you to The Bargain Box and First Presbyterian Church for turning generosity into lifesaving impact. Your continued support helps ensure our patients receive the care they deserve—when they need it most.

We loved being part of the Women's Club of Sea Pines Wellness Fair on Wednesday, January 14! 💙

Our VIM HHI team was on hand at the Sea Pines Community Center taking blood pressure readings and sharing information about our wellness programs and clinic services with over a hundred attendees. Events like this are a wonderful way to connect with the community and support preventive care.

We’re especially proud to share that Mary Ann Jacobs, our Director of Mental Health Services, is also the President of the WCSP—a meaningful connection that helps strengthen community partnerships and promote whole-person wellness.

Thank you to the Women’s Club of Sea Pines for hosting a fantastic event and for their commitment to health and well-being in our community!

We are incredibly grateful to the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry for their generous $45,000 grant in support of Volunteers in Medicine Hilton Head Island. 💙

This funding allowed us to invest in new state-of-the-art ophthalmology equipment, strengthening our ability to care for patients with complex vision needs. With this advanced technology, our retina specialist, Dr. Peter Liggett, can more accurately diagnose and treat advanced eye disease in our diabetic patients, while our optometrist, Dr. Andrew Buzzelli, is now able to serve more patients with greater efficiency and precision.

Thanks to the Community Foundation’s partnership, clearer vision—and better health—is possible for so many in our community. We are deeply thankful for their continued commitment to improving access to high-quality healthcare in the Lowcountry. 👁️✨

Giving our patients even more reasons to smile! 😁🦷

VIM is grateful to receive a $10,000 grant from the Patterson Foundation, helping us provide hundreds of additional free dental cleanings and exams for patients and their children. Preventive dental care plays a vital role in overall health, and this support allows us to expand our impact where it’s needed most.

Our dental clinic delivers $1.2M+ in care annually, providing thousands of essential procedures for neighbors with nowhere else to turn.

Thank you, Patterson Foundation, for supporting healthy smiles and healthier lives! 💙

💙 Grateful. Hopeful. Inspired. 💙

We are deeply thankful to the The Sea Pines Resort Community Fund for their generous support of Volunteers in Medicine Hilton Head Island (VIM HHI). Because of this grant, we can continue providing vital disease-screening labs for neighbors who live at or below the federal poverty level.

For our patients, this support means more than medical tests—it means peace of mind, earlier answers, better health outcomes, and one less obstacle standing between them and the care they deserve.

We are incredibly grateful for partners who believe in access to compassionate care and help make healthier futures possible for our community. 💫

Thanks to a generous grant from the Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina, VIM HHI was able to stock essential prescription medications that our donation partners can’t always provide. ❤️‍🩹

These funds helped us keep our on-site pharmacy filled with the critical meds our patients rely on—at no cost to them. For neighbors living at or below the federal poverty level, this support means real relief, better health, and one less barrier to care.

Grants like this make healthier futures possible. 💙✨

Over 25 Years of hope and healing

Every day at Volunteers in Medicine Hilton Head Island, we commit ourselves to the Circle of Caring, making a difference within our community, one patient at a time.

Imagine you’re a young mother with a feverishly sick child and no medical insurance. Imagine waking up one morning for your job in construction, landscape maintenance, hospitality or food and beverage services and having a swollen cheek and throbbing pain, with no dental insurance or money to pay for help. Imagine suffering from diabetes and having no place to go for medical supplies, frequent monitoring, support and information.

At VIM, not only can we imagine this suffering, we witness it every day and we help. But to keep doing that, to involve all the faces you see here in fulfilling our mission, we need your continuing support.
