Happy Monday! 🌺
Here at Hale O Honolulu, we’re grateful for the opportunity to give back to our community. Over the weekend, our team assisted at shelters across Oʻahu in response to the recent Kona Low storm.

Mahalo to everyone who came together to support those in need—your kindness and dedication truly make a difference. 💛

On March 19, 2026, the Hale O Honolulu Clubhouse participated in Lobby Day at the State Capitol, coming together with community members to ensure that lawmakers heard directly from the people. Participants received training, support, and a welcoming environment that helped them learn how to effectively engage with legislators and take part in the democratic process.

The day brought together advocates, community leaders, and coalition partners for a powerful show of civic engagement, advancing immigrant rights, due process, and a people-powered democracy.

Here are a few photos to show HOH day at the Capitol on 3-19-2026.

Around the World of Clubhouse: this month we're in Ohio, USA

This Women’s History Month, we honor our women Clubhouse colleagues who are integral to our community.

Meet Lori D'Angelo, Executive Director of Magnolia Clubhouse and longtime leader of the Clubhouse movement. Lori shares the story of Magnolia's growth and success.

"Magnolia Clubhouse was originally established as Hill House in 1961. The organization had a long history of high quality and worked in tandem with the Clubhouse model as it grew. Magnolia Clubhouse was formally established in 2004 and continued to expand, obtaining funding from the Ohio Department of Mental Health, which allowed us to expand the model across the state. There are now 11 organizations developing Clubhouses in Ohio. We worked with our neighboring states of Michigan and Pennsylvania and developed advocacy best practices to expand the model in Ohio, and are now sharing our experience with New York and other states to further the growth of the Clubhouse model across the country.

I discovered Hill House as a doctoral graduate student in psychology in 1993, was hired after I completed my post doctoral fellowship in 1997 and have been here ever since, and lucky for me, finding Hill House changed and made my life so rich! "
