So many of us have turned to yoga for physical, mental and spiritual healing. Cannabis is also a natural tool used to alleviate chronic pain, inflammation, PTSD and a variety of other medical conditions. The combination of cannabis and a yoga practice can be profound. “Cannabis enhances yoga the same way it enhances a concert or a sunset. The two things individually are great, but combined they’re alchemic.” -Dee Desault, author G***a Yoga.

This class will incorporate gentle yoga, the support of bolsters/yoga props and cannabis for a beginner friendly, gentle experience.

Patients will need to BYO medical cannabis and consume in a way that is comfortable for them (smoking, vaporizing, or consuming edibles).

*bring your current 329 card and photo ID. This is a private event and only open to 329 cardholders. Cardholders are welcome to bring their own medicine for personal use only. The sale of and sharing of cannabis is strictly prohibited. Please plan responsibly, do not drive to or from this class under the influence of cannabis. The use of cannabis is only permitted at classes marked “329 Patient Yoga” and is not permitted in any other class or event.

If you do not have a 329 card, you will NOT be admitted to this class. If you are interested in obtaining a 329 card to legally consume cannabis and have a qualifying condition, we can help you obtain your card.

There are many patients who remain unserved by dispensaries. These patients, as a result, rely heavily on the illicit market and to lesser extent cannabis grown by themselves or their caregivers. Unfortunately, these options do not provide cannabis products that meet the level of safety patients deserve, and that is provided by licensed dispensaries.

Medical ma*****na is legal in Hawaii, but when will it be legal to smoke ma*****na recreationally in Hawaii?

While it is not a crime to possess less than three grams of ma*****na and the maximum fine for this violation is $130, it is ultimately illegal to use ma*****na recreationally. Different bills have been introduced to try to legalize recreational ma*****na in Hawaii over the years, including in February 2021; however, a bill has never passed. Therefore, if you are caught in possession of ma*****na and you do not have a 329 Card for medical use of ma*****na, you may face some hefty penalties in Hawaii. Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS) 712 and 706 outlines the consequences of being caught with ma*****na in Hawaii. Learn more about cannabis and regulation laws in Hawaii at www.808hicia.org.
