Dr. Murariu was part of the Queens Summer Research Internship program where he mentored a college student, Kaylynn Hashiro, on several research topics.

Today was her final day and had a chance to present a poster on the benefits of of the breasts following , compared to a typical open traditional method. She also had two other posters accepted at international meetings and is now helping write up an article.

Congratulations, Kaylynn! Your hard work has definitely paid off! ⭐

Did you know we can perform with the as in this patient from last week? She has travelled from the mainland specifically because she knew using the robotic there would be less cuts on the fascia (strength layer of the abdomen); hers were 2 cm (left) and 2.6 cm (right) instead of the usual 10-12 cm! Total surgery time was about 8 hours including 56 minutes for the robot!petey
