Is it just a cold… or something more? 👀

Colds, flu, and walking pneumonia can look similar at first — but there are a few key differences every parent should know.

🚨A typical viral cold will improve after day 7, and resolves completely within 3-4 weeks. A bacterial infection such as mycoplasma, typically worsens after day 7 or causes fever to last more than 5 days

🚨Persistent mycoplasma usually requires antibiotics, so if your child has had a cough for more than a week that is worsening or they develop fever after day 5-7 of an illness, give your pediatrician a call
