As the season shifts and schedules get busier, peace of mind matters more than ever ❤️ Our Senior Day Care program offers your loved ones a safe, nurturing place to stay active, engaged, and cared for, without full-time residency.

While you focus on life’s demands, we’ll make sure your kūpuna are surrounded by companionship, activities, and aloha, just like family 🌺

We had a wonderful time today at the PCH Women’s Auxiliary General Meeting at Jade Dynasty Restaurant. 🌸

Year after year, the Auxiliary has brought joy to our kūpuna—wrapping gifts, celebrating holidays, and simply spending time together. We are truly grateful for their love and care, which touches not only our residents but all of us at Palolo Chinese Home. 💕

Today we welcomed Occupational Therapy students from the Ageo Chuo Healthcare School for an insightful visit at Palolo Chinese Home! 🌺

The students attended a presentation on OT in Hawai‘i and the U.S., toured our rehab gym, and observed our residents working alongside a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. To deepen their understanding, they even participated in a hands-on demo simulating vision and dexterity impairments—trying to fold origami fortune tellers with blurred lenses and bound fingers! 👓✋✨

This experience gave students a glimpse into the challenges kūpuna may face and highlighted the vital role occupational therapy plays in long-term care. Mahalo to the Ageo Chuo students for spending the day with us and for your commitment to future caregiving.

✨ A truly special moment at the Imperial Chinese Garments & Jackets Exhibition organized by the Hawaii Chinese Civic Association! It was a wonderful opportunity for our community to experience and celebrate the richness of Chinese culture.

We were honored to have Mayor Rick Blangiardi, Councilmember Scott Nishimoto, Councilmember Tyler Delos Santos-Tam, our Board President and HCCA President Elvira Lo, Board Director Frances Goo, Past Board President Wesley Fong, and our dedicated managers join us, alongside our Senior Day Care participants and community leaders Beverly Mau and Dorothy Mau, for this unforgettable cultural experience.

From the Emperor’s Formal Dragon Robe to the God of Prosperity’s Ceremonial Attire, and even a traditional Qing Dynasty wedding jacket, this rare collection brought to life the grandeur and traditions of Imperial China.

🙏 A big mahalo to the Hawaii Chinese Civic Association for organizing this exhibition and making it possible for our community to enjoy such a meaningful cultural experience.

A day of culture, connection, and community! 🌸 Our friends from Lanakila Multipurpose Senior Center, PCH Senior Day Care, and special guests Councilmembers Scott Nishimoto and Tyler Delos Santos, along with Frances Goo, enjoyed an inspiring visit to City Hall.

The highlight? Experiencing the stunning Imperial Robe Collection and honoring the legacy of Patsy Mink at her statue.

Mahalo to everyone who joined us for this memorable outing!

Aloha and God Bless Mahiai for 30 years of selfless service. Clement was Palolo Chinese Home's maintenance man who brought his faithful dog to work each day. He was our shining example of ohana. The Pele's hair which can be found on our plumeria trees was his gift of joy for all.
