Much of our team was in San Diego this week with our friends and colleagues from the National Forum of State Nursing Workforce Centers. We spent two and a half days hearing presentations and engaging in conversations about nursing workforce. We are feeling energized and ready to bring back much of what we learned back home so we can continue working to support Hawaii's nurses.

Governor Josh Green issued a Fourth Emergency Proclamation Relating to the Maui Wildfires today.

It allows nurses, physicians, and respiratory therapists with an active, unencumbered license in another state to provide healthcare services in Hawaii.

Hey, friends! We're putting on a conference! 😍🥳😍🥳

With our colleagues from the California Simulation Alliance and the Victorian Simulation Alliance of Australia, we're hosting SimHuddle - a Transpacific Simulation Alliance Conference. Our event will take place on October 17-20 at the beautiful Alohilani Hotel in Waikiki. 🌺🤙🌴🌊

We're planning one-and-half days of keynotes, workshops, panels, and opportunities to network with your colleagues about all things related to simulation in healthcare.

We also have a pre-confernece day of workshops and a Writing Retreat that will provide mentorship to folks who want to publish thier research.

Hawaii nurse license renewals are open!

You have until June 30 to renew. Most nurses will be able to renew online by logging on to your MyPVL account.
