Positive, everyday actions can make a difference in brain health, even lowering the risk of cognitive decline and possibly Alzheimer's and dementia. One way is challenge your mind!!

Be curious! Put your brain to work and do something that is new for you. Learn a new skill. Try something artistic. Challenging your mind may have short- and long-term benefits for your brain.

If epilepsy has touched your life, your family, or someone you love, this message is for you.

Living with epilepsy isn't just about managing seizures. It's navigating fear, uncertainty, medical costs, school challenges, and stigma (often all at once šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«)

That's where the Epilepsy Foundation of Hawai'i (hi, that's us!) comes in. Your support powers seizure first aid training, community education, youth programs, and local support groups. When you become a monthly supporter, you create a steady and reliable care for families who need consistent resources all year long.

✨ As we close out the year, consider turning your one-time gift into lasting impact! Become a monthly supporter today and help us walk with our community every step of the way šŸ”— tinyurl.com/efhdonate

Living with Alzheimer’s can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to figure it out alone.

This February 2026, the Alzheimer’s Association – Hawaii is launching Living with Alzheimer’s, a 3-part series created for individuals living with Alzheimer’s, other dementias, or mild cognitive impairment (MCI), and for the people who love and care for them.

In this series, you’ll hear from others walking a similar path and learn:

- What to expect after a diagnosis
- How to build a strong care team
- How to plan for the road ahead with more support and less fear

Our Story

Same Great Service, 4 Convenient Locations! Windward, Honolulu, West Oahu, Kailua-Kona

Hawaii Pacific Neuroscience (HPN) is the leading provider of neurological care in the state of Hawaii, serving more than 25,000 patient visits in 2018 from the Pacific Islands. We are committed to patients who come from every corner of the Pacific Rim to seek the most advanced care and research treatments provided by Hawaii’s top specialists. Our specialists include: Neurology, Sleep Disorders, Geriatrics, Physiatry, Neuropsychology and our doctors work alongside each other in a fully integrated patient centered care model. Our care model starts with the patient. We seek to provide a one-stop shop for all our patients’ neurological needs. By uniting a team of specialists, we are able to provide comprehensive care for our patients. This values-based approach ensures efficient standard of care and allows for a more collaborative approach for treatment. Our centers include the Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, Headache and Facial Pain Center, the Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders Center, the Spine and Pain Management Center, the Neuro-diagnostic Institute of Technology and the Clinical Research Center. Each center incorporates an interdisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and the management of a specific neurological condition. Thus, we are able to rely on all of our doctor’s expertise to deliver the best care even for the most complex neurological condition. Our Physicians and researchers also provide novel research that is not available in the state for our community. This provides the power of choice and comfort for our local patients when previously, they would have to fly to the mainland for their treatment. Our Clinical Research Center currently has over 30 trials with therapeutic areas including Alzheimer’s disease, Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Insomnia and Parkinson’s disease. Additionally, our office serves as Hawaii`s largest Neuroscience academic and teaching program, attracting over 250 residents, medical students, post doctorate, graduate, undergraduate students since 2013. Our summer internship program (HPN-SIP) nurtures the next generation of healthcare leaders and our staff dedicates countless hours to mentor and guide all of our students. The students are able to work directly with world-class physicians and gain clinical experience in a fast-paced research environment. We are here to serve our community, whether it is investing in Hawaii's next generation of healthcare professionals or providing the best neurological care for the islands. Please feel free to contact us at (808) 261-4476 or at info@hawaiineuroscience.com for more information.
