Did you know that there are very few doctors that are licensed to both prescribe and dispense controlled substances? 🤔 Doctors of Waikiki can do both!

A specialized space is required, which includes extra security, approval by the state, and a means of tracking each dispensed medication (patients are required to sign out when they accept a controlled substance).

We are also connected to the state’s narcotics division so we can see when our patients pick up medication from Longs, Walgreens or another pharmacy! We regulate their medication to make sure an opioid dependency isn’t created.

🩳S – Strip hot clothes and jewelry
💧 T – Treat the burn with cool water for at least 10 minutes (avoid ice!)
🚑O – Organize medical assistance
