Teamwork makes the dream work in Hilo! 🚑✈️🔥 The Hawai‘i Life Flight crew teamed up with AMR Hawaii, Hilo Benioff Medical Center and the Hilo Airport Fire Station for a training day focused on IABP (intra-aortic balloon pump) transports. These are high-stakes, time-sensitive missions that take serious coordination...so practicing together is key. Big thanks to everyone who jumped in to make it happen!

🙌 Time to celebrate our favorite pup, Aka! Aka has been training since June of last year with support from several trainers. Recently, she was tested by Jesse Baker, Program Director of the Therapy Dog Program, who evaluated her in different scenarios and with various people. She passed with flying colors and earned her Canine Good Citizen Certificate, ⭐️officially⭐️ making her a GMR Therapy Dog! Congratulations to Aka and her partner, Amanda S!

Last weekend, our membership sales manager, Myles, joined the Akamai Seniors Resource Fair at Sangha Hall in Hilo. Nearly 250 seniors from East Hawaii attended, exploring the many programs and services available to support them in our community.

At American Medical Response and Hawaii Life Flight, we believe that every journey is more than just a transport, it’s a chance to bring comfort, compassion and hope to those who need it most.

We were deeply honored to stand alongside Make-A-Wish Hawaii to help fulfill a brave child's greatest wish: to return home.
Surrounded by the dedication of caregivers and the strength of community, this special homecoming was a reminder of the power of aloha, courage and love. To make the moment even more meaningful, our AMR and HLF team prepared goodie bags and a signed card to welcome the child home with warmth and joy.

To the incredible crew members, volunteers and partners who made this possible, mahalo for embodying the true meaning of care and connection. Together, we carried not only passengers, but also a wish to come true.

Big congratulations to Donovan Keliipuleole on completing his QAB and clinical phase assessment! 🙌 Donovan’s work ethic and dedication stand out every day…whether it’s putting in extra time at the hangar on his days off or pushing himself to understand the “why” behind every decision. His discipline and drive make him not only a strong clinician, but also a great teammate. We’re proud to celebrate his achievement in earning CM2 and grateful to have him on the REACH 48 team.
