A Message From My Heart Today 🖤

Today, I have made the decision to close for business and make this an admin day. This choice wasn’t taken lightly … but it’s one I felt was deeply aligned with our values of humanity, compassion, and community.

We are not closing for politics - we are closing for people.

Right now, communities across the country are responding to the tragic events unfolding, including the shootings of Alex Pretti and others during federal immigration enforcement actions in Minneapolis and beyond. These incidents should spark conversations about how we treat one another as human beings — NOT more hate and division.

As a business with nurse staff, we want to stand with our team, honor what they witness and feel, and acknowledge the humanity at the center of this moment. We also honor the memory of Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse and caregiver, and the many others whose lives have been touched by loss. 

Although I wasn’t an ‘immigrant’ I know what it feels like not to be welcomed and to struggle (especially my Mom), to hope and want to belong as I came to America as a half breed at almost 6 years old. That experience shapes who I am, shapes how I lead, and shapes the kind of community and workplace I want to nurture.

I love this community - every one of you - and we know that respect and compassion are not partisan. They are human. ❤️

Thank you for understanding and for being part of a community that cares about more than just business —- it cares about people. 🙏🏽
