Programs at the MOA Wellness Center
Okada Purifying Therapy (OPT) is considered a form of Energy Medicine. OPT is the core of Mokichi Okada’s utilization of “#spiritual science.” He learned from Nature that, just as our natural ecosystem cleanses itself periodically, our body - a microcosm - also cleanses itself periodically. He stated that #illness is a cleansing process for the human being, which manifests as discomfort such as #fever, #pain, and #stiffness. It is through #illness that impure matters that have accumulated in the body over many years are eliminated. OPT is based on Okada’s theory that we have life-sustaining energy because our #spiritual body is combined with our physical body. Over many years of research, Okada discovered that focusing the #spiritual energy available in the universe onto the affected part of the body through OPT will accelerate the dissipation of such impure matters. OPT guides people to health and produces #happiness.
Art and Culture Program - flower arranging (kohrinka), Bontemae Tea Ceremony, Calligraphy (shodo) promotes emotional and cultural wellness through #beauty. Art and Culture activities enhance the #spiritual sentiments of the human being. Everything on earth, including the human being, has a rich and full life-sustaining energy (#spiritual energy) This energy is demonstrated in #beauty. Mokichi Okada realized that if we enjoy the #beauty of #Nature and incorporate it into our daily lives, our life-sustaining energy would become rich and our #spiritual sentiments would be #uplifted. Because of his understanding, he collected art pieces and built art museums.
MOA Food and Eating Program provides guidance in achieving both physical and mental health through a way of eating embedded in traditional values - the principles of respecting and adapting to #Nature.
MOA #Nature Farming produces #healthy #chemicalfree foods for the community. Okada discovered that soil has a very important power within itself to produce food. Therefore, as the human being can thrive only by living in harmony with #Nature, if our #agricultural methods respect soil and enhance its power, our food will always be rich in natural energy the nourishes and supports our health. MOA Wellness Centers encourage its members to start and maintain home #gardens. #Gardening is also used as a therapy to help individuals attain a better state of health through increased contact with #Nature.
