At these events she will often take the lead, which entails recruiting other volunteers and organizing the educational content. Our largest neighborhood clinic is now open in Mililani! This new, 24,000-square-foot facility offers expanded services, daily urgent care and a patient-centered design – bringing high-quality, personalized care closer to families across Central Oahu.

On August 26, we officially opened our new Mililani Clinic & Urgent Care at the Town Center of Mililani.

Innovation and learning drive our mission forward at Straub Benioff Medical Center, and our 2025 Employee of the Year Professional Advancement honoree, Donna Minakami, embodies both! Her nomination highlights this pursuit.

"Donna has been instrumental in advocating for the clinical advancement for our Speech Department. She has been a strong advocate for our initiative to start FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing). Her clinical expertise was pivotal as we designed new clinical workflows, received input from stakeholders and made recommendations for documentation requirements for this new service. She worked with the speech teams at Wilcox and Pali Momi so we could all go live simultaneously with this new service. In addition, Donna has been recognized by other team members for her communication with team members, her can-do attitude and serving as a role model in continuing to advance our practice for the best care of our patients."
