We are open with extra precautions and safety measures to keep you safe during COVID-19.No matter what your eye care needs our ophthalmologists will provide you with a comprehensive exam & then discuss all of your medical & corrective options. We have taken the following critical steps to provide a safe environment for your care: Same day appointments are available for your urgent eye care needs. We have reduced our daily patient volume to ensure social distancing in all common areas. Our office is disinfected thoroughly on a regular basis throughout the day as well as the evening. We have developed a comprehensive room disinfection protocol that is carried out by our technicians before and after each patient comes into our office/exam rooms. This protocol includes cleaning all surfaces in the rooms as well as any instrumentation used for patient testing. We require all patients and staff to wear face masks at all times. Both Queens Medical Center and our staff will screen every patient upon entering the building and the office making sure to keep the patients who are here with us safe. To ensure social distancing, we are limiting visitors and monitoring common areas for your safety. We ask that unless you need assistance for memory/cognition or physical mobility, we ask that all friends and family members wait for you outside or in the car until your appointment is completed to limit the amount of people in the office at one time. We remind patients to follow all CDC guidelines and encourage our patients to reschedule if they have experienced any flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough, or any other new symptoms of any type. We have taken this approach as a partnership with you with our goal being to provide excellent health care in a fashion that is as safe as can possibly be.
