QUICK REMINDER! FACEBOOK LIVE EVENT TODAY, AUG. 26 AT NOON – DR. TAKETA-WONG WELCOMES A CUTTING EDGE LACTATION EXPERT AND REVEALS THE LINK BETWEEN BREASTFEEDING AND AUTISM PREVENTION! PLEASE JOIN IN AT NOON TODAY!
Breast milk is much easier to digest than milk from cows, goats and other animals. And because just about every child who develops autism has difficulty with digestion, making it easy to breastfeed is really important.
This is especially true when it comes to preventing autism because many of the symptoms are related to gut issues. Unfortunately, the underlying medical causes behind autism have not yet become common knowledge, but when I see children with repetitive behaviors like stimming or head banging, lack of social and emotional connection, or aggression, I immediately look for gut issues.
I want to emphasize here that even if not about autism, breastfeeding is important for preventing gut and immune system problems in a baby. Oftentimes things like ear infections can be prevented that way.
My special guest will reveal how a specific type of Japanese massage can clear out clogs in the breast tissue, which can prevent mastitis, which is an infection in the ducts. The conventional treatment is antibiotics, which not only upsets the balance of the mom’s gut bacteria but can also affect baby as well. She will also explain her approach to treating common concerns during pregnancy and breastfeeding such as stretch marks, breast tenderness or pain, and colic in the baby.
Healthful Tip: The benefits of breastfeeding in autism prevention – and in general – can make a significant difference for moms and families. Be sure to join Dr. Taketa-Wong on TODAY, AUG. 26 AT NOON for this important event. Please invite your friends, as well. Mahalo!
