Here's the TRUTH about Hantavirus...

🌺 Protecting our keiki starts at home 🏡

Hantavirus is rare, but understanding how it spreads, and how to prevent it, helps keep your family safe.

Rodents can carry harmful viruses, so a few simple habits can go a long way:
✔️ Keep food sealed
✔️ Avoid contact with droppings or nests
✔️ Teach kids to tell an adult if they see a rodent
✔️ Clean safely 🚫 never sweep or vacuum droppings

💛 Early symptoms can look like the flu but can worsen quickly. If your child has fever, fatigue, or trouble breathing after possible exposure, reach out to your pediatrician right away.

Here in Honolulu, we’re honored to care for so many military children and families who serve our community and our country every day.

As a practice founded by a former Navy veteran family, we understand the strength, sacrifice, resilience, and adaptability that military life often requires — especially for keiki. From deployments and transitions to long work hours and frequent moves, military families carry so much with grace and courage.
