When you have a cavity, Dr. Columbus will usually follow these general steps to restore your tooth:
Our team will apply a local anesthetic to numb the area around the affected tooth, ensuring the procedure is comfortable. We carefully remove decayed portions of the tooth to prevent further damage. Once the decay is removed, we will clean the cavity to ensure no debris or bacteria remains, which could lead to further problems. Then, we will fill the cleaned cavity and shape the filling to restore your tooth’s natural contour and ensure proper bite alignment.
