⭐️E-RYT 200
⭐️RCYT 95
⭐️300 YTT student Lauren started practicing yoga in 2006 while searching for a new hobby to occupy her time. She soon began to notice the benefits of giving herself the self-care her body, mind, and heart needed. In 2015, Lauren took a Child Yoga Teacher Training and her perspective got turned upside down. If only she knew about yoga as a child and the benefits it would have brought to her confidence, identity, self-regulation, and mental health. Lauren quickly knew she wanted to share this practice with others and began her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2016. Since learning that yoga is more than shapes with your body, Lauren’s focus became learning how to create a safe and supportive environment for her students while making the postures and breath accessible to everyone that walks into her class. Lauren loves sharing yoga with those who “can’t do yoga” and those that want calm and confidence in their life. Lauren is an RYT 200 and RCYT 95 with Yoga Alliance and has completed 30 hours of Accessible Yoga Training. Lauren has two young children and enjoys their chaos, stained glass art, audiobooks, podcasts, all things community, and houseplants!

The song I played at the end of class today.
☮️✌🏼

I can stand up for me.
I can stand up for you.
I can stand up for peace.
You can stand up too.

I can stand up for me.
I can stand up for you.
I can stand up for peace.
There’s nothing we can’t do.

We are yoga.

If you practice yoga, you must also practice ahisma. If you’re not practicing ahisma, you’re just exercising.

My heart is heavy these days. There are many people in this country that need lessons in yoga.

Love this book!

I’m getting so many great ideas for teaching the Adaptive Yoga classes at the Nashua YMCA! The students seem to really enjoy the different asana variations (a good chunk are from this book & my Accessible Yoga teacher training that I took in 2018).

Thanks Jivana Heyman for this wonderful book!

I love Kira Willey!

I was chatting with an autism classroom teacher the other day about child & adaptive yoga. She introduced me to the school’s physical therapist that uses yoga in her sessions! I made sure to let her know about our girl Kira & all of her amazing yoga & mindfulness songs that I use in my classes!

Today I had a few first graders in my Family Yoga for 1-6 year olds at the Y! You know what that meant- 6-7! ✋ 🤚

I’ve been substitute teaching at Nottingham West Elementary School in Hudson, NH when I’m not teaching yoga. They had this sweet parade honoring Veterans the other day.

Happy Vetetans Day for all who served! We appreciate you! 🇺🇸

Did you know I also teach Adaptive Yoga? It’s such an accessible practice! Picture chairs, blocks, straps, a wall, & a mat! Now picture an asana being shared 3-4 different ways in the same class/flow!

The photo is wall chair! Get the benefits of chair pose with the support of the wall! This posture can also be done seated in a chair, standing on a mat with the support of a chair, or standing without support!

Photo is not of me. Borrowed from online.
