Arkansas Trauma Resource Initiative for Schools

Arkansas Trauma Resource Initiative for Schools Arkansas children are exposed to substantially high levels of trauma. This places them at an increased risk for mental and behavioral problems.

The Arkansas Trauma Resource Initiative for Schools (T R I S)
provides training and resources to school personnel of K-12 schools in Arkansas to recognize & respond to the impact of trauma on students. The Arkansas Trauma Resource Initiative for Schools (TRIS) was created to help school personnel better recognize and respond to the impact of trauma on students. TRIS provides training, resources,

and other support to all school personnel across the state. The initiative is a collaboration between UAMS, the Arkansas Department of Education (A D E) and other key stakeholders and is is funded by a generous behavioral health grant from the Blue and You Foundation.

By supporting positive mental health practices in children and teens, we can help them build resilience and improve their mental health and wellbeing. This webinar will discuss the role of positive mental health and resilience in trauma-informed care for kids and teens. We will also review practical strategies and tools clinicians can use to promote mental health and wellness in their clinical settings.
