She was also correct about a 20 minute walk per day helping lower diabetes risks. Furthermore, exercises like walking increase muscle and bone strength. Which may help you stave off osteoporosis, improve mobility, and improve the way you look and feel during weight loss and thereafter.
We need exercise like brisk walking to strengthen heart muscles. Heart disease risks go down when we stay active throughout our lives. It improves circulation in our limbs which helps our cardiovascular systems. This also affects our skin and nerves in our limbs keeping healthy blood flow.
One of the biggest benefits is the mental health benefits exercise and being outdoors can bring you. It boosts brain chemicals including those that help you feel more satisfied and happy. That is always helpful.
Don’t be discouraged if your calorie burn isn’t high. Calories burned is just a small amount of the bigger benefits of walking. It’s more important you lace up your tennis shoes and get out there.
