Ever feel like winter turns your body into an ice sculpture? 🥶

Traveling somewhere cold?
Cold weather + holiday travel can be a tough combo for your body.
When muscles get cold and stiff, even simple things—like unloading the car, lifting gifts, or long drives—can feel harder than they should.

PT-approved winter reminders:
• Take movement breaks during long drives or flights
• Warm up your body before lifting or reaching
• Dress in layers to keep muscles warm
• Stay hydrated (yes—even when it’s cold)
A few extra minutes of preparation can help your body move better and feel less achy—so you can focus on enjoying the season, not recovering from it.

➡️ If stiffness or pain lingers longer than expected, it may be your body asking for support.
Traveling this season? Save this post—and remember, no referral is needed to schedule with Advanced PT.

Holiday stress doesn’t just hit your mind — it hits your neck and shoulders too.

If you’re feeling tight, tense, or carrying the weight of December on your traps 😂… here’s a 60-second reset you can do anywhere:

1️⃣ Should Blade Squeeze

•Stand or sit tall with your spine straight.
• Gently pull your shoulder blades back and slightly downward, as if trying to tuck them into your back pockets.
• Keep your chest open and avoid shrugging your shoulders upward.
• Hold the squeeze for 2–3 seconds, then relax.

2️⃣ Slow Deep Breaths
In through your nose, fill your belly, slow exhale out the mouth. Repeat a few times.

3️⃣ Gentle Upper-Trap Stretch
Tilt your head to the side and use your hand for just a light assist. Switch sides.

Your body deserves a little calm in the chaos. 💙

Our Maumelle Advanced Physical Therapy location is designed for more than rehab — it’s built to help people move better and perform better.

We use advanced tools like the Full Swing golf simulator alongside Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) principles to evaluate how your body moves, rotates, and transfers force.

🏌️‍♂️ What that means for patients:
• Objective swing and movement data
• Identification of mobility and stability limitations
• Smarter rehab and performance planning
• Reduced injury risk and improved efficiency

The simulator helps us see what’s happening.
TPI principles help us decide what to fix and how to train it.

Whether you’re a golfer, athlete, or someone who just wants to move pain-free again — everything here is intentional and individualized.

The holidays are supposed to be cozy… not painful.

But lifting boxes, cooking for hours, and decorating like you’re on a Hallmark movie set?
Yeah — your back feels all of that. 😅

Here’s your 3-step holiday back-saving cheat sheet:
1️⃣ Lift with your legs
Strong legs = happy spine.
Keep the load close and avoid bending at the low back.
2️⃣ Take micro-breaks while cooking
60 seconds every so often.
Stretch, breathe, reset — your back will love you.
3️⃣ Warm up before decorating
A quick stretch goes a long way when you’re climbing ladders or hanging lights.
Give your back a little love now so you’re not paying for it later.
Your future self (and your holiday photos) will thank you. ✔️

You don’t need a full life makeover to feel better this season.
Tiny, realistic habits = big wins. 💪🎄

• 5 minutes of movement 🚶‍♂️
Walk, stretch, squat — just move.

• One glass of water before meals 💧
Easy hydration hack.

• One 5 minute stretch session a day 🤸‍♀️

Your neck, back, and shoulders will thank you.
• One intentional breath 😮‍💨

The quickest reset ever.

Small habits → big impact.
And if pain crashes your holiday?
We’re one DM away at Advanced PT. 💙

Our Story

We are a group of therapists who are passionate about people! We specialize in therapy for pelvic conditions such as incontinence and pelvic pain, as well as any other joint pain or post-surgical diagnosis. Millions of people have experienced an incontinent episode in their lifetime. Many have experienced the hardships of these problems for years. Patients report they have just resigned themselves to the fact of having to wear protection devices (ie- Depends pads). The conditions don't just affect the elderly population. Post-partum women also experience f***l and urinary incontinence, especially after episiotomies. Whether you suffer from chronic back pain including degenerative disc disease or have knee pain, we have the help you need. At Advanced Physical Therapy, we have specialists who provide therapy that will cure your pelvic floor dysfunction over 88% of the time if you are a compliant patient. In addition to this therapy, we also specialize in working with expectant mothers to assist them with pelvic pain and other pre and post delivery problems. Please give us a call or request a referral from your physician. We work very hard to get the word out about our services and would LOVE TO BE YOUR PHYSICAL THERAPISTS. Let us know how we can improve your quality of life!
