Youth Home, Inc. Changing Lives. Saving Families. Learn more at youthhome.org Our therapies and activities are enjoyed in a beautiful, open, and comfortable 52-acre campus.

Since 1966, we've served youth who struggle with severe mental illness, offering the highest quality of care in the most home-like environment possible. Our mission is to equip both youth and their families to become contributing members of their community by providing compassionate psychiatric and behavioral health care. Youth Home is committed to exceptional treatment for families as a PRTF residential treatment facility for youth ages 12 to 17. Our program addresses each child's entire wellbeing: including medical, psychiatric, social, physical, and academic needs. We accept TRICARE® East, TRICARE® West, CHAMPVA, and Medicaid. We have relied on the donations of our local supporters since 1966, and continue to do so today! If you have a heart for children who struggle with mental illness, we strongly encourage you to support our program. Life in the military can bring unique challenges for the families who serve our country. Frequent moves, deployments, and periods of uncertainty can take a toll on a child’s mental health.

Nearly half of the kids in Youth Home’s care come from military families. As a TRICARE provider, we’re honored to offer the treatment they need by coordinating with military case managers and support networks.

Youth Home provides an environment that feels like home, along with travel assistance so family is never too far away, and the stability that makes healing possible.

Sometimes the best decision isn't the easiest to make.

One parent shared that it was difficult to choose the next step in their son's treatment, but the progress he made at Youth Home showed they made the right call.

At Youth Home, we know the healing process can be challenging for the whole family, not just the kids we serve. We're proud to provide the kind of care that gives families a fresh start.

At Youth Home, we hear stories like this every day.

Parents of children with Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD) often feel hopeless, but seeking help sooner can help families heal before burnout sets in.

Over 70% of our residents have a RAD diagnosis. Our treatment program is designed to focus on social skills, empathy, and healthy interactions -- all with the goal of easing some of the stress the whole family may be facing.

Families with children who have reactive attachment disorder often reach crisis before finding help. Learn why early advocacy matters and how to get support sooner.

March is International Women’s History Month, and Youth Home is honoring the woman who started it all – 60 years ago.

Carol Burns Smelley founded Youth Home with $8,000 and the belief that all children deserve care, connection, and the chance to heal, no matter what challenges they face.

What started as a mission to help families in Central Arkansas has grown into a program that has changed countless lives across the country.

Six decades later, Smelley’s vision lives on, offering hope and a brighter future for all children in Youth Home’s care.
