March is International Women’s History Month, and Youth Home is honoring the woman who started it all – 60 years ago.

Carol Burns Smelley founded Youth Home with $8,000 and the belief that all children deserve care, connection, and the chance to heal, no matter what challenges they face.

What started as a mission to help families in Central Arkansas has grown into a program that has changed countless lives across the country.

Six decades later, Smelley’s vision lives on, offering hope and a brighter future for all children in Youth Home’s care.
