Our Activity Department loves spending the afternoons getting creative with our wonderful residents! 🎨 From painting and decorating to sharing ideas and helping one another, the room is always full of smiles. We love seeing the creativity and joy that shines during craft time. A big thank-you to our amazing Activity Department who make activities like this possible, and to our residents for making every project unique and beautiful. We can’t wait for the next craft day! 💜

Last week, our residents woke up to the sweet scent of celebration (Dunkin Donuts) drifting down the halls. 🍩 It was Fat Tuesday—better known in Pennsylvania Dutch country as Fasnacht Day, which traditionally involves eating donuts to use up sugar and lard before the Lenten fast.

By afternoon, the party shifted into full Mardi Gras mode. ⚜️🎭 Purple, green, and gold decorations brightened the dining room, masks were worn, beads were tossed, and music brought everyone to life. For a few joyful hours, it felt like a little piece of New Orleans had come to visit—proving you’re never too old to celebrate. 💜💛💚

Today, National Caregivers Day, we recognize all types of caregivers 🫶: our associates who bring compassion and professionalism to their interactions with our residents; family members who lovingly care for their loved ones; and other professionals in the healthcare industry who take care of those who cannot take care of themselves.

🪩🕺 The dining room filled with music, laughter, colorful decorations and cool accessories as residents and their family members gathered for a disco party.

Familiar songs played, bringing smiles, gentle sing-alongs, and even a few happy dance moves. 💃 Some residents danced with loved ones, others clapped along from their seats 👏, and everyone shared in the fun.

Our activity room was filled with smiles as residents made whimsical hats! 😆👒 Each hat was unique and carefully crafted, reflecting the personality of its maker. After an afternoon of creativity and and sharing jokes and memories, everyone proudly showed their creations. 🎩✨

Anna came to us for rehabilitation after a hip fracture, and with the help of our physical and occupational therapists, she made terrific progress! She is back up and walking, and she also regained her independence in her daily functional tasks. We are so proud of her! 👏
