Our Viera Community always lights up when Johnathan comes out to lead Boxing Lessons! From quick footwork to steady jabs, he keeps our residents moving, ducking, and dodging left, right, left!

Not only is it great exercise, but it’s also a fun way to build confidence, coordination, and a whole lot of laughter.

Thank you, Johnathan, for keeping wellness exciting and showing that staying active can be both strong and joyful!

From Occupational Therapy to Physical Therapy to Speech Therapy, this team pours their heart into helping our residents every single day – and today was all about pouring the love right back into them.

At Viera Health & Rehabilitation, our Rehab Team is more than just therapists – they are motivators, cheerleaders, and life-changers. Spotlight on Our Director of Rehab – Alyson Steele, PT

Since 2012, Alyson Steele has been an essential part of the Viera Health & Rehabilitation community. As our Director of Rehab and a passionate Physical Therapist, Alyson continues to pour her heart into her work, leading her department.

When asked why she loves being a Director, Alyson shared that her department makes her job easy to love in return. She also explained that her decision to stay with Viera for more than a decade comes down to one thing: her core values align with Viera’s daily goals. That connection makes her work not just a job, but a calling.

Her inspiration to become a Physical Therapist started in childhood. Alyson volunteered at a camp for disabled and handicapped children, and it was there she discovered her purpose – to help people in the physical world on all levels. From that moment on, she knew there was no greater path than to become a Physical Therapist.

Today, Alyson continues to embody that same spirit of care and service, making a difference every day for our residents and our Viera family. We are proud to celebrate her leadership and the passion she brings to her role.

Speech Therapy Shoutout Appreciation!

At Viera Health & Rehabilitation, we couldn’t let Rehab Week go by without giving our Speech Therapy team the recognition they deserve. We intentionally pushed our celebration out, so each part of our Rehab family gets their own well-earned spotlight.

Our Speech Therapists play a vital role in helping residents find their voice, improve communication, and strengthen swallowing abilities. Their patience, expertise, and encouragement make life-changing differences – not just in therapy sessions, but in the quality of daily living for those they serve.

This belated celebration is our way of saying THANK YOU for the heart, dedication, and passion our Speech Therapy department brings to the Viera community every single day. Happy Rehab Week!
