Back to School Bash? No problem! Last weekend, our team of dedicated clinicians provided free physical exams, vaccinations, and lead testing to children in grades K-12 at the Chester Health Fair. 🌟 From live DJ music, to water ice, giveaways, raffles, and carnival games, it was a great way to kick off the celebrate the Back-To-School season! A special appearance from Dr. Abbas Zaidi, and members of our cardiology team joined us for blood pressure screenings and education​ — a wonderful addition to the event!

This collaboration brought together the City of Chester Bureau of Health, the Delaware County Health Department, Nemours Children’s Health, State Sen. John Kane, ChesPenn Health Services, and The Foundation for Delaware County. Thank you very much to Dr. Jenna Higgins, our primary care team, for helping to plan this event. We also thank everyone who helped make this possible and to the families who came. 🌱✨

From Marco's first pitch - a perfect way to celebrate his one-year post-op milestone - to Emma's singing, the evening highlighted the strength of our cleft and craniofacial community! ⚾ 💪

📅 The 11th Annual WOKV Care-a-thon Presented by Duval Asphalt is almost here!
On August 15–16, Nemours Children’s Health will host a live two-day broadcast in partnership with 104.5 WOKV to raise funds for the Child Cancer Fund. All proceeds help provide vital educational, financial, and emotional support for families in Northeast Florida facing childhood cancer.

These programs include:
💛 Child Life Specialist – Helping children cope with the stress of treatment through play, learning, and self-expression.
💛 Financial Assistance – Covering essential expenses like housing, utilities, food, and more when a parent must leave work to care for their child.
💛 Support Services – Offering emotional, educational, and mental health resources, family retreats at Camp Boggy Creek, and guidance for newly diagnosed families.

You can get involved by bidding in our online silent auction or making a donation during the broadcast. Together, we can bring hope and healing to local families.

We are grateful for our Neuromuscular team who attended the 2025 MDA Summer Camp in Umatilla. This annual camp is filled with swimming, canoeing, talent shows, and unforgettable moments, all designed to give kids living with neuromuscular diseases a chance to just be kids.

Through our work with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, we are proud to help spread awareness about the care we provide for children with neuromuscular conditions.💚

Heading back to school can bring big feelings for both kids and parents. Whether your child is starting kindergarten, switching schools, or just moving up a grade, it is normal for the first few days to feel a little overwhelming. This special event brought together families affected by microtia and atresia for a day of expert presentations, shared experiences, and valuable insights from our specialists.
