Upper Blepharoplasty – What to Expect After Surgery?

After upper blepharoplasty, it is normal to experience mild to moderate swelling and bruising around the eyes during the first several days. This is a natural part of the healing process.

To help support recovery, we recommend several simple tips that may help reduce inflammation and bruising:
• Arnica tablets – may help reduce bruising
• Bromelain supplements – may help decrease swelling and inflammation
• Icing on and off after the procedure – helps minimize swelling in the early healing phase.

After the procedure, many patients also benefit from using ALASTIN Inhance serum twice daily, which can help support skin healing and improve overall skin quality during recovery.

Important things to avoid after upper blepharoplasty:
• NSAIDs (such as Ibuprofen) – can increase risk of bleeding
• Alcohol – may worsen swelling and bruising
• Bending, lifting, or straining – avoid for at least 1 week to protect healing tissues

Nasal Reconstruction – Step by Step

All stages were performed in our office. Moh’s surgery was completed by our Moh’s surgeon and reconstruction by plastic surgeon Dr. Rebecca Novo.

Skin Cancer Identified – The biopsy-proven lesion is marked before surgery.

Moh’s Surgery – Cancer is removed layer by layer while preserving healthy tissue.

Clear Margins Confirmed – Once all cancer cells are removed, the final defect is evaluated.

Reconstruction Planning – A graft is carefully designed to restore the natural contour of the nose.

Healing Phase – The flap settles and swelling gradually improves.

Scar Maturation – The tissue continues to heal and remodel over time.

Final Stage – The area is ready for CO₂ laser resurfacing to further soften the scar and improve skin texture, reducing scar visibility.
