Dr. Rebecca Novo on Ellacor Recovery.               

With every treatment we perform, it’s important to be realistic about recovery timeline and expectations. Dr. Novo calls this “social downtime”.

She personally had Ellacor and was back to work the very next day. You’re not decommissioned- there’s no pain, and you can continue your daily activities (with the exception of swimming).

Expect mild swelling, redness, or possible minor bruising for a few days, with minimal visible marks by about one week. As with any surgical treatment, full photo-ready results are seen around 6 weeks.

Before & After: Explant + Mastopexy (no implants)

Our patient had 20-year-old saline implants and came in for a consultation with Dr. Rebecca Novo to discuss implant exchange (replacement) vs  explant ( implant removal).

We decided to remove the implants and perform an explant + mastopexy, rearranging her natural breast tissue to create a beautiful, lifted shape—without placing new implants.

This procedure choice provided a natural, balanced result that fits her body well.

If you are deciding between explant with mastopexy or implant exchange, we are here to consult with you and help you choose the option that will give you the best, most natural results for your goals.

It is important to consider - that there are (rare) times when we do not recommend replacing implants - for example if there is inflammation in surrounding tissue which may occur after implants rupture.
