Announcement to my dear friends and patients:

Janet, Jacqui, Joan, Curt and I at Brevard Plastic Surgery wish you a very happy spring and hope that you have remained safe and well during this challenging year. We have enjoyed working with you and seeing you in the office. Many of you have become close friends.

I would like to announce that I plan to retire by July 31, 2021. I have been privileged and honored to treat you and other patients in the Brevard and surrounding areas for 37 years. My wonderful staff, Janet and Jacqui, have been with me for 30 years and have been the rock of the practice. I will miss this area, my staff, friends and patients very much, but Curt and I will be moving to Idaho to be nearer to our son. We are excited to start our new life there at the foot of the Teton Mountains.

There is a timetable for my retirement, and I want you to know I will be scheduling surgeries and performing operations up until about the middle of June, 2021. I plan to continue to perform injectables, such as Botox and fillers, and to do small office procedures such as mole removals, upper eyelid lifts, some superficial laser procedures, etc. until mid July. If you have been planning a procedure, we urge you to call and let us know as soon as possible so that we can facilitate the scheduling in plenty of time for your follow-up appointments and healing.

During July, I will be transitioning my practice to a gifted young female plastic surgeon. Her name is Dr. Stephenie Poris and she has completed vigorous training in the field of Plastic and Reconstructive surgery. I have been following her career and have acted as a mentor for her for many years. She is a delightful individual. She grew up in the Melbourne area and is the daughter of a long-time wonderful dentist here, Dr. Ray Po***ck. She will be practicing in Winter Park, Florida. She will be in my office often during July to start to move supplies and gather information. If you wish to meet her, I am sure Janet can try to schedule a few minutes during one of her July visits. I plan to relinquish my patients and their charts fully to her care beginning July 31, 2021.

For those of you who wish to have copies of your medical records, please call the office to request them in plenty of time to have them reproduced. There will be a nominal fee for the reproduction of the chart. For those of you who wish to have your records transferred to a different plastic surgeon, again, give us plenty of time to facilitate your request. You will need to be an established patient with the plastic surgeon or sign a release of records to her or him before I can release the records. We will gladly make recommendations for you about other, more local, plastic surgeons. There are many very talented surgeons in this area.

Again, I am grateful for the trust you have put in us and our practice. We love to see the smiles and excitement of our happy patients. That is what motivates us to do what we do.
