What did you do last weekend?

SCO’s Dr. Garcia spent last weekend with Dr. Amanda Aker and Dr. Greg Aker for an educational seminar held in Nashville, Tennessee at Optique Eye Care. Optique is owned by Dr. Sonsino. He and Dr. Brujic ran the two day seminar with theoretical instruction regarding ABB Optical Group’s DELTA Scleral Contact Lenses (1) on Saturday and hands on instruction on Sunday.

Scleral contact lenses are large-diameter, rigid gas permeable lenses that vault over the entire cornea to rest on the white part of the eye (sclera). They create a tear-filled, protective, and hydrating space, making them ideal for keratoconus, severe dry eyes, corneal irregularities, and post-surgical. (2)

The three Brevard County providers enjoyed the seminar immensely. Dr. Garcia declared, “It gave me a lot of new tools and strategies to help patients in the future.”
