“Practice becomes firmly grounded when done for a long time, without interruption, and with devotion.” This is ABHYASA.

Showing up again and again
without needing it to be perfect
without needing it to feel good
without needing results right away

Just steady effort, with a soft grip on the outcome.❤️🙏

She lives in our bones, our breath, our blood, our cycles. In the minerals that make us strong, in the water that moves through us, in the breath that rises and falls without asking, in the quiet rhythms that shape our lives, the earth is already here.

Like her, we know storm and stillness,
drought and blooming,
breaking down and becoming new.
We know what it is to feel scattered like wind,
to burn with intensity,
to soften like rain,
to rest like winter,
and to rise again like spring.

Just as the earth moves through seasons without apology,
we too are made for change.
For fullness and emptiness.
For letting go and beginning again.
For days of rooted strength
and days that ask for surrender.

Nothing in nature is rushed,
and nothing real is ever wasted.
Even the falling apart,
even the barren places,
even the moments that feel dry or uncertain,
are part of the great cycle of renewal.

You are not separate from that wisdom.
You are nature.
You are rhythm.
You are both the breaking and the blooming,
both the healing and the becoming.

ANNOUNCEMENT ‼️
In this ever-changing flow of life, we are being asked to honor another transition. ❤️

Essential Elements is moving, and with that, we will be closing our chapter in the classroom space at the end of April. This space has been a sanctuary. A place to breathe, to soften, to grow, to be challenged, to be held, and to come home to ourselves again and again. I feel so much gratitude for all that has unfolded within those walls and for each soul who has shared in that energy.

My last class in this space will be Wednesday, April 22, on Earth Day, which feels especially sacred. A moment to honor endings, beginnings, and the beautiful truth that everything in nature teaches us how to let go and begin again.

As one chapter closes, another gently opens.

Beginning Cinco de May ( May 5 th ) , I’ll be offering Gentle Yoga at Ryckman Park at 6:00 PM, along with Sunset Flow on Thursdays at 6:00 PM. With deep gratitude, thank you to the residents and the Town of Melbourne Beach for sponsoring these classes and helping make free yoga possible for our community. It means so much to be able to offer a space where people can gather, breathe, move, and reconnect in a way that is open and accessible.
I’ll also be adding a Mysore practice in my home garage, with more details to come soon.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me. For your presence, your trust, and your willingness to keep flowing through change together.

The space may shift, but the practice, the connection, and the heart behind it all remain.

ALL WITH LOVE 🙏❤️

✨ Yin Yoga with Kate The Great ✨
Starting Tuesday, February 3rd

Yin Yoga invites us into stillness—creating space to explore not only the physical body, but also the mental, emotional, and subtle energetic layers within.

In this 60-minute, deeply grounding practice, poses are held passively for 3–5 minutes and supported with props to gently target the connective tissues (fascia). The focus is on relaxation, sensation, and awareness, allowing the nervous system to settle and the body to soften.

This practice isn’t about how a pose looks—it’s about how it feels. You’ll be encouraged to listen inward, honor your body in the moment, and soften around the edges rather than force.

✨ Expect:
• A calming, supportive atmosphere
• Deep rest and nervous system regulation
• Increased flexibility, circulation, and joint health
• Emotional balance and mental clarity
• A slower, meditative approach to yoga

🧘‍♀️ Great for:
Anyone seeking stress relief, deep relaxation, or a mindful complement to a more active practice.
All levels • All ages • Always welcome

OVERTHINKING. If your nervous system is already activated, overthinking can feel like it is trying to keep you safe. But it usually does the opposite. It tightens the body, speeds up the heart, and traps you in loops. Here is a very useful skill that helps me, is called cognitive defusion. It means you stop looking through your thoughts and start looking at your thoughts.
You don’t have to fight your mind to feel calm.
You just have to stop letting every thought drive the nervous system. 🙏❤️
