YOGA PHILOSOPHY WORKSHOP
July 26 + 27 | With Melissa Lopez
Join Melissa Lopez for this weekend immersion to dive deeper into the Philosophy of Yoga.
This will be a three part workshop with part one being a virtual journey through the history of yoga to go over key periods, significant moments, figures and important notable. Part two and three will be in person the last weekend of July at The Yoga Garden. In part two and three we’ll take what we learned about the history and dive deeper into philosophical discussion on the topics of the Yoga Sutras, the Yamas & Niyamas, and breath work. Finally we’ll tie it all together and work through the important question of “how do we tie this all into our yoga classes/practice with our authentic voice, while honoring the roots of yoga?”
This goal of this workshop is to help you build a strong foundation to dive deeper into the philosophy and roots of yoga in a meaningful and fun way. This workshop is perfect for the students who are wanting to enrich their yoga practice and teachers who’d like to earn CEU’s and dive deeper into the philosophical fruit of yoga.
Note: This will be a two day in person workshop beginning July 26 (2-4 pm) and ending July 27 (4-6) pm. All who sign up will receive a video created by Melissa to offer an introduction to the history of Yoga prior to the in person events.
Melissa Lopez has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from East Carolina University.
