New Class!
Restorative with Myofascial Release
Fridays 5:45pm with Sherry Thorpe
Unwind and restore with a gentle practice designed to release tension from the fascia and prepare the body for deep rest. This class offers a combination of recovery techniques that are wonderful for anyone who wants to increase mobility and/or flexibility. Practice will include restorative poses (longer held, passive stretches), gentle stretches (both reclined and seated) as well as Myofascial release work (using foam rollers and small recovery balls).
Self-myofascial release techniques can help to dissolve connective tissue restrictions, enhance circulation, and activate the parasympathetic nervous system. You will leave feeling more mobile, grounded and refreshed!
This class can benefit everyone and is for all levels.
*Myofascial release is a safe and very effective technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the muscles and connective tissue (fascia) to increase circulation, hydrate the tissues, reduce pain and increase mobility.
