✨ LASER PREP: WHAT NOT TO DO BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT ✨
Planning a **BBL (BroadBand Light) therapy or laser treatment?
Here’s what to avoid before your appointment to keep your skin safe and get the best results:
🚫 No sun exposure or tanning
Avoid sun, tanning beds, or self-tanner for at least 2 weeks before.
🚫 Stop retinol & retinoids
Pause Retinol, Retin-A, Tretinoin, adapalene about 5–7 days before treatment.
🚫 Avoid photosensitizing medications
Some medications make your skin more sensitive to light, including certain antibiotics.
🚫 No active skin irritation
Avoid treatment if you have sunburn, rashes, or open skin.
🚫 No strong exfoliation
Pause chemical peels, AHAs, BHAs, scrubs, or exfoliating treatments about 1 week prior.
☀️ Do wear sunscreen daily
Broad-spectrum SPF 30+ helps protect your skin and improves your laser results.
✨ Healthy skin = safer treatment & better outcomes
Always tell your provider about medications, recent sun exposure, or skincare changes before your laser appointment.
