Folks, this is critical!! My patients need this bill to pass committee. If you or your family are treated by an amazing advanced practice nurse, YOU NEED THIS TO PASS!

Let me explain the gravity….
At this time, to treat the patients in my practice, I have to be connected to a physician for collaboration. If something were to happen to him (retirement, death, penalty by the TMB making him stop supervising), my patients are left without care. Immediately. Over night!

Patients that are needing mental health support. Patients battling post-partum depression. Patients struggling with suicidal thoughts. Patients that travel from over 200 miles away to see me because there are no mental health practitioners closer. BOOM. Left without care.

All because, by law, I have to pay a physician to chat with me quarterly and sign off on a chart a month for care that has already been provided. For lives that have already been saved.

This bill would remove this need! 27 states have already let go of these restrictive laws, along with the military and VA. Additionally, more states are in the pipeline to let it go!

Come on Texas!! Do better.

As everyone prepares to spend the weekend with families, remember that HB 3794/SB 1859 is about putting patients, and families, first. Texas needs to allow APRNs to provide vital care to their communities.

The Texas House Public Health Committee could vote on HB 3794 next week. Take the time to share our letter campaign with friends, families, and neighbors, and urge them to send a letter on our Action Center.

Happy Nurse Practitioner Week!!!

Tammy has been a nurse since 1998 and a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesiologist (CRNA) for almost 16 years.

Most recently, in 2021, she decided to further her knowledge and become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner! This was a decision she knew was needed in order to best serve her patients. She wanted to assure they felt fully supported while embarking on their mental health journeys.

This week is Nurse Practitioner Week! We are incredibly grateful for the skill, dedication, and compassion Tammy brings to this clinic every day. The care she provides makes a world of difference to our patients!

It’s been one of my greatest honors to walk along side these brave individuals as they embark on personal healing journey.

Ketamine Clinic of West Texas (est. 2017) is the first ketamine clinic in West Texas, and one of the first in the state of Texas. We have the most first hand experience of any provider in the area and are amongst the early pioneers of this therapy in the US! We have facilitated thousands of sessions in a safe, supervised and mental health supported environment.

What does that mean? Mental health supported environment?

Our provider, Tammy Vaught, is doubled boarded as a CRNA and a PMHNP. She has extensive training in both anesthesia and mental health. She decided to expand her education as a PMHNP in 2021 to further support her ketamine clinic patients, AS WELL AS, provide traditional mental health treatment to the community.

Additionally, we have several therapists in-house that can help facilitate your healing through traditional counseling or ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.

Our focus is on providing mental health supported ketamine experiences. In Non-Ordinary Sates of Consciousness (NOSC), experience matters. This is why we have worked tirelessly to provide a compassionate, safe environment where your experience is guided by knowledgeable professionals.
