Friday, February 6 marked National Wear Red Day and the kickoff to American Heart Month! ❤️
Heart disease remains the leading cause of death in the U.S., but many cases are preventable. Small steps like staying active, eating nutritious foods, managing stress, and knowing your numbers — blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar — can make a big difference.

Our Health Department staff wore red to raise awareness and show their support for heart-healthy habits in our community!

On Wednesday, Midland Health Services partnered with the Midland Baptist Crisis Center to support senior residents during their monthly Senior Day. 🫂💙

With help from H‑E‑B, seniors received free blood pressure checks, vaccinations, and first-aid kits, while Redeemer Midland and Stonegate Fellowship Church donated additional items.

We’re thankful for the partnerships that made this day possible!

A time to recognize the lifesaving impact of blood donors and the difference each donation makes. Blood donations help patients needing surgery, cancer treatment, trauma care, and emergency care.
