Phone lines at most Texas Tech Physicians clinics are currently down due to technical difficulties. Additionally, clinics are unable to respond to patient portal communications. Yesterday, the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health hosted “Feed Your Mind: Mind Your Hormones,” with national health expert Mary Claire Haver, M.D., a board-certified Obstetrics and Gynecology specialist and certified menopause practitioner.

Thank you, Alert 7, for joining us for an insightful and informative lunch!

The Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health hosted a luncheon focused on the impact of hormones on women’s health. These hormones can start from age 13 all the way to 90.

Recently, School of Nursing students took part in the Nursing Together for Success at All Levels event. The meeting brought together all students in the traditional track to discuss what to expect out of the program and how to be successful. Students heard from a recent graduate and even had a chance to earn scholarships.

After more than a decade of research growth and recruiting efforts to build strong, collaborative research programs, the TTUHSC-Jerry H. Hodge School of Pharmacy in Amarillo has developed the newest research center – the Brain Drug Discovery Center. It will focus on discovering novel drug targets and treatments for a variety of neurodegenerative diseases.
